Many thanks to those who have contributed to The Helper Project throughout the years. Because of the support we have received, the following projects and events have been successfully completed.


2022 | Funded $100,412 to Date

  • Helper Depot Corridor Project: Continued funding the land lease process
  • Helped fund the Steamboat Mountain Reading Series Poetry Series events in Helper
  • Funded a promotional video for a Helper artist
  • Funded the School Recorder Project: Purchased recorders for 5th & 6th grade students in Helper
  • Music sponsor for the 2022 Helper Saturday Vibes
  • Provided matching funds to repair/replace windows in the Helper Museum
  • Helped fund the restoration of three neon signs on Main Street buildings
  • Donated a historic soda fountain and back bar from Blue Plate Diner to Aunt Nell’s Soda Fountain on Main Street
  • Secured $10,000 in vocational and $20,000 in medical academic scholarship funding for Helper high school graduates attending Utah State University-Eastern
  • Funded a jewelry-making workshop in Helper with an internationally renowned artist
  • Sponsored the Outlaw Car Show
  • Funded the exterior rehab of Pinneau’s Tumbling on Main St.

2021 | Funded 16 projects for a total of $71,338

  • Provided matching funds to assist with the Rio Theatre sound system update
  • Helper Depot Corridor Project: Continued funding the land lease process
  • Funded the School Recorder Project: Purchased recorders for each student at Sally Mauro elementary school and created online and in-person curriculum, and purchased new keyboards and headphones for the school
  • Clouds are in the Air fundraising exhibition and event
  • Main sponsor for Helper Saturday Vibes events
  • Funded Utah Symphony’s Forever Mighty performances in Helper
  • Helped fund the Live at the Rio concert series
  • Funded the Steamboat Mountain Poetry Series events in Helper
  • Provided funds to help revitalize the New House Hotel, Helper State Bank, and Castle Rock Mercantile façades
  • Funded four college scholarships
  • Sponsored the Outlaw Car Show
  • Helped fund the monthly Helper First Friday’s Gallery Stroll
  • Purchased new recycling cans for Main Street
  • Purchased new pet waste stations
  • Sponsored Sub-for-Santa in Helper
  • Funded installation of Main Street holiday lights

2020 | Funded 13 projects for a total of $39,375

  • Helper Depot Corridor Project: Continued funding the land lease process
  • Provided a matching grant for the opening of the Helper Swimming Pool
  • American Crossroads fundraising exhibition
  • Funded a matching grant for the construction of an historic neon sign for the Carbon Hotel
  • Funded the Blooming Helper Project, which provided flowerpots to elderly, disabled, or low-income Helper residents
  • Funded the Helper Summer Art Club, which provided local children with art kits to complete projects at home
  • Sponsored the Outlaw Car Show
  • Helped fund the annual Helper Christmas Light Parade
  • Helped fund the monthly Helper First Friday’s Gallery Stroll
  • Helped fund the restoration of the Matsuda Acupuncture Clinic building on Main Street
  • Funded the International Print Exchange with Choice Humanitarian: 500 Carbon County & Mombasa, Africa middle school students participated
  • Secured $10,000.00 in vocational and medical academic scholarship funding for Helper high school graduates attending Utah State University, Eastern

2019 | Funded 13 projects for a total of $19,573

  • Helper Depot Corridor Project: Continued funding the land lease process
  • Helped fund the annual Helper Christmas Light Parade
  • Helped fund the restoration of the JC Penney Building Sign
  • Helped fund the restoration of the Hillcrest Hotel & Apartments Neon Sign
  • Helped fund the restoration of the Newhouse Hotel building façade
  • Funded the planting of trees and plants along the wedge on Helper’s Main Street
  • Jointly funded Utah Symphony, Utah Opera performance at the Rio Theatre
  • Secured $20,000.00 in vocational and medical academic scholarship funding for Helper high school graduates attending Utah State University, Eastern
  • Funded the October Plein Air Festival in which over 50 Utah artists participated
  • Spike 150 fundraising exhibition and event
  • Funded the International Print Exchange with Choice Humanitarian: 500 Carbon County & Mombasa, Africa middle school students participated

  • Helper Depot Corridor Project: Continued funding the land lease process
  • Funded Utah Youth Symphony Orchestra performance
  • Sponsored the Outlaw Car Show
  • Helper and the Landscape fundraising exhibition
  • Helped fund the annual Helper Light Christmas Parade 
  • Secured the Zions Bank Drive-Thru ATM
  • Funded the restoration of the concrete pillars at the Rio Theatre
  • Funded the restoration of the block wall and tree removal at 50 N. Main Street residence
  • Purchased pet waste stations for along Helper’s River and Spring Canyon walks
  • Funded the purchase and installed an historic barber pole at Jaylyn’s Barber shop on Main Street
  • Funded the landscape beautification of Main Street’s north entrance into Helper
  • Funded the restoration of the historic signs in the Helper City Park on Main Street
  • Provided funding for the Helper Arts Festival

2017 | Funded 8 projects for a total of $13,500

  • Funded the purchase of new commercial garbage cans for Main Street
